A [F] mule is an animal with long funny ears – he kicks up at anything he hears.\u00a0 <\/span>His [G7] back is brawny and his [C] brain is weak,<\/span>\u00a0 He\u2019s [Dm] just plain [G7] stupid <\/span>with a [C] stubborn [C7] streak.<\/span>\u00a0 And [F] if you hate to go to [D7] school,<\/span>\u00a0 [G7] You may grow [C7] up to be a [F] mule.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A [F] pig is an animal with dirt on his face.\u00a0 <\/span>His shoes are a terrible disgrace.<\/span>\u00a0 He\u2019s [G7] got no manners when he [C] eats his food;<\/span>\u00a0 He\u2019s [Dm] fat and [G7] lazy and [C] extremely [C7]rude.<\/span>\u00a0 But if [F] you don\u2019t care a feather or a [D7] fig,<\/span>\u00a0 [G7] You may grow [C7] up to be a [F] pig.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A [F] fish won\u2019t do anything but swim in a brook,<\/span>\u00a0 He can\u2019t write his name or read a book.<\/span> \u00a0 To [G7] fool the people is his [C] only thought,<\/span>\u00a0 And [Dm] though he\u2019s [G7] slippery, he [C] still gets [C7]caught.<\/span>\u00a0 Then [F] if that sort of life is what you [D7] wish,<\/span>\u00a0 [G7] You may grow [C7] up to be a [F] fish.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

And all the [D7] monkeys aren\u2019t in the [G7] zoo,\u00a0 <\/span>E<\/span>very [C] day you meet quite a [F] few;<\/span> \u00a0 So [D7] you see it\u2019s all up to [G] you\u00a0<\/span> [C7] You can be better than you [F ] are,<\/span>\u00a0 [G7] You could be [C7] swinging on a [F] star.
