This is called “We fall to pieces,” and if any of your young people think it’s not true, I have news for you.

[C] We [F] fall to [G7] pieces,  [F] just when it’s [G7] time to have [C] fun.  [C] We [F] fall to [G7] pieces. [F] From all the [G7] hard work we’ve [C] done.  

We go [G7] out and buy brand new [F] mo’bile homes, just so [G7] we can roam – in our new [C] motor home.
[C7] And we [F] scrimp and we [G7] save for the [C] golden years. [C7] Now they’re [F] here and [G7] we fall to [C] pieces.

[C] We [F] fall to [G7] pieces. [F] Just when we’re [G7] having a [C] ball. [C] We [F] fall to [G7] pieces. [F] Each time we for-[G7]-get our [C] Geritol. 

We will buy [C7] hearing aids, bifocals and [F] dental plates We  [G7] also add 14 inches  [C] to our waist. [C7] Let’s just [F] hope these old [G7] feet will still [C] hold us up. [C7] Cause if they [F] don’t, we’ll [G7] all fall to [C] pieces. 

[C7] Let’s have [F] fun while [G7] we fall to [C] pieces.
