What passes for "verses" are spoken "interview" dialogs between a reporter and a witness.
Comically, the
witness is always the same guy, always speaking of his wife Ethel. The music during these
sections is
just a vamp on C and Am, though there is no music at all for the first dialog section. During
the chorus,
after the line ends "They call him The Streak" there is a single blow of a siren whistle.

Hello, everyone, this is your action news reporter with all the news that is news across the
nation,
on the scene at the supermarket. There seems to have been some disturbance here. Pardon me,
