John Gugle (shown above in the GG Grandparent section) marries Barbara Brandt, who was the daughter of Father Brandt and Mother Kauffman;
but other than that, we have no information (yet) about Barbara.
Sometime between the purchase, and the payoff, Richard may have moved his family to Hagerstown, MD in preparation for the journey west. From 1820 to 1839, due largely to the completion of the Ohio/Erie Canal in 1828, growth was phenomenal.
"An article appeared in 1881 that states:
A family known as the Andrews family moved into Stark County consisting of the father, Richard, Eve, the mother, and five sons, Daniel, Adam, Charles, David, and Richard.
The old man entered the fractional section upon which now stand the manufacturing establishment of Russell & Co.,
the station house of the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne, & Chicago Railway, and all others on South Erie street below the railway,
all of which went for intoxicating liquors, which were drank in the family.
Richard Andrews had a son-in-law, John Wolf, who, along with two sons, Richard and Samuel,
are sleeping their last sleep in drunkards graves.
Among the chattels brought from Maryland by the Andrews family was a stalwart Negro, known as Black Jack,
John Tibbs being his real name. On the family leaving Hagerstown, they were about to sell Jack."
The will mentions "Andrew's Folley" and "Richland - formerly Sapling Ridge" I recall my father saying something about Andrew's Folley,
and my grandparents, John and Marie Andrews, lived on Richland Road, which might have been part of Sapling Ridge.

The first mention of Richard Andrews in Ohio was Nov 26, 1811, when he took a loan out for 547.2 acres at the Steubenville, Jefferson, OH Land office. The entry covered fractional sections 17 and 18 of Twp 10, R 9. When the loan was paid off, July 30, 1812, the certificate listed "Richard Andrews of Stark Co, Ohio" indicating that he had established residence there.

from Okemos, MI. Robert grew-up in Adrian, in Lenawee County,
which is adjacent to Fulton County Ohio where most of the Andrews' family migrated after leaving Stark County around 1850.
